PTE daily: Open a Core email with the request

Write Email is a Core task. The form target is 50–120 words, with a reason and a clear ask.

Say why you are writing in the first line. Then give the fact the prompt mentions, and end with what you want the reader to do.

The portal checks the word count. It does not grade greeting style or grammar. A very short note or a long essay both score zero on form.

You do not need a postal address. You need the purpose, one detail, and the request.

  • Copy the time, place, or number from the prompt into the email.
  • Keep the message between 50 and 120 words.
  • Read the last line and check that it asks for something.

This is a PTE Pro Lab study note. It is not a Pearson or IELTS announcement and not an official score.
