PTE Core test format

PTE Core is a different exam from PTE Academic. This site keeps Core items separate.

Core tasks on this site

Respond to a Situation, Summarize Written Text, Write Email, and Summarize Spoken Text. Write Email is checked for 50–120 words. Summaries are checked for one sentence of 5–75 words, or 50–70 words for the spoken summary.

Do not mix the exams

An Academic essay prompt is not a Core email. Open the Core practice mock when you want only Core tasks.
