PTE daily: Finish the sentence you can see

Read Aloud is scored from the script words in the recording. Missing the last line costs more than a short pause.

Today’s PTE update is about Read Aloud. The paragraph stays on the screen, so the work is to say every word once, in order, without dropping the ending.

On this site the score counts script words heard in the recording. A pause is not a pronunciation mark. A skipped line is a row of missed words.

Read the paragraph silently once. Then start. If you stumble, keep going from the next word instead of restarting the whole text.

  • Open one Easy Read Aloud and read it through before you press the microphone.
  • Record a single pass. Do not stop to correct a word you already passed.
  • On the result, read the red words and record that same item once more.

This is a PTE Pro Lab study note. It is not a Pearson or IELTS announcement and not an official score.
