PTE daily: Catch the verb in Repeat Sentence

A repeated sentence is usually one clause. The verb and the number are the words people drop.

Repeat Sentence plays once. You do not get a second hearing, so the first listen has to land on the action and any number or time.

Here the sentence stays hidden until you submit, and the result marks the words that were not heard. Extra words you added are listed under the sentence.

Do not try to memorise a speech. Hold the short sentence, then say it back in the same order.

  • Play one Repeat Sentence and wait until it finishes.
  • Repeat it once. Then check which words are marked.
  • Do three more at the same level before you move up.

This is a PTE Pro Lab study note. It is not a Pearson or IELTS announcement and not an official score.
